Improvised and Stand-up Comedy Courses
If you always wanted to try out improvising, learn more about it, or just build some public speaking skills and self-confidence, easylaughs offers comedy improvisation courses in English for all levels of experience.
The classes are taught by talented performers with years of experience. Foundation courses (Levels 1 and 2) are 8 week programs for beginners that cover all the basics of improvisation. easylaughs also offers courses for advanced students including specialty courses in longform, characterisation and genres.
They also teach courses in other comedy disciplines including stand-up.

Improvised Comedy Stream - Foundation Courses
Improvisation
Level 1 - Basics
In this 8 week course you will learn all the basic skills of improv. Beginning
moments, object work and physical activity on stage are primary focuses. Students
will learn basic performance games. The classes are very active - every game
or exercise will be practised by everyone, so everyone gets many chances to
get up and play. You will learn individual performance and presentation skills

Improvisation Level 2 - Beyond the Basics
In this class you will learn how to master your basic improv games and add that professionalism and polish to your scene work. The course concludes with a show on the easylaughs stage and much of the course will be geared towards getting that show as slick and self-assured as possible.You must have taken Level 1 with easylaughs to take Level 2. Foundation courses end with a student show.

Studio Courses
Studio courses are 6-to-8-week courses for advanced students who have completed levels 1 and 2 or who have at least equivalent experience. There are several types of studio course:
Superscene:
The Course
Superscene is an improv format where improvisers present their movie in their particular film style and battle to be the director who gets to finish their movie. This course will dive into genres and characterization and present it's own Superscene show at the end of the course. Be prepared to immerse yourself in your favorite genre and take on your favorite director impersonation.

Acting
for Improv
This course is for students interested in developing their acting skills. Character work, staging and scene structure will be the focus of this 8 week course. In the course students will use written scenes as well as monologues to create characters, form dramatic tension and use the stage effectively. Working with written texts the students will learn how to apply these skills in their improvisation, to create more dramatic scenes and deeper characters. In this course either some basic improvisation or basic acting experience is required.

Stand-up
Comedy Courses
As well as improvised comedy, we offer courses in Stand-up Comedy where you
learn to create and perform your own comedy routine.The beginners' course covers the skills stand-up comedians utilise and will help you develop your own persona, style and material. This is a basic course aimed at people with little or no experience in stand-up, but who are interested to try it out.
