This course is designed for experienced improvisers looking to push their skills and perform a high-stakes, longform format. Impress friends and family at your 25 min graduation show on May 30th!! BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR THIS COURSE, please email info@easylaughs.nl with your improv experience so we can determine if this course is right for you. When the class is assembled, we'll take the first part of class to determine which format we'll play. Here are some options: · In The Play, you'll become part of an amateur theatre group with big dreams of stardom. You'll work together to build the world of the play — from messy script readings and chaotic rehearsals to the high-stakes drama of opening night. · Duos will set you up with a partner to develop a unique style and format that suits your comedic rhythm and chemistry. You’ll learn how to seamlessly switch between multiple characters, create distinct worlds, and build cohesive narratives — all with just the two of you holding down the stage. In Genres, you'll explore genre-based improv, from film noir to rom-com to horror (or whatever the group decides!). You’ll break down the key elements that define each genre — character archetypes, dialogue style, tone, and pacing — and practice recreating them through scene work and narrative exercises. · For Tarantino, get ready to drop some f-bombs and dive into the dark, twisted, and stylish world of Quentin Tarantino — all through the power of improv. This course will teach you how to capture the signature tone of Tarantino films: the sharp dialogue, the morally complex characters, the sudden violence, and yes — the Bible verses.
